Matters needing attention in waterway transportation of refrigerated containers
With the development and improvement of refrigerated container refrigeration and control technology, the range of suitable goods for refrigerated containers has continued to expand, including super-frozen fish with temperature from -60°C to flower bulbs at 30°C. The temperature control deviation requires temperature sensitivity of less than 1°C. For goods, use humidity, air structure control or adjustment of fresh-keeping fruits and vegetables, etc., to ensure that the goods are delivered to the owner with the best quality, extend the shelf life on the market, and improve economic benefits. Although refrigerated containers now have a variety of functions for the quality of physical goods, the correct pre-treatment of the goods before packing, proper packaging and stowage in the box, specific temperature, humidity, and fresh air ventilation rate setting air structure Control or regulation is very important. If these tasks are not done well, the goods will not be able to reach the destination safely in quality and quantity.

1. Precautions for loading refrigerated containers

(1) During the loading process of the refrigerated container, check the refrigerating device to confirm that the refrigerating machine has stopped operating;

(2) Cargo pre-cooling: Before loading, the skids and other cushion materials used in the refrigerated container should be pre-cooled, and the goods should be pre-cooled and pre-cooled to the temperature required for transportation. The design of the box has limited cooling capacity and can only be used to maintain the temperature of the cargo. If the temperature of the cargo is too high, the refrigeration system will be overloaded, causing the system to malfunction and affecting the safety of the cargo.

(3) Regarding the pre-cooling of refrigerated containers: in general, refrigerated containers should not be pre-cooled, because once the door of the pre-cooled refrigerated container is opened, the hot air entering the refrigerated container will cause moisture condensation when cold, and water droplets will damage the outer packaging and labels of the goods. , The water droplets condensed on the surface of the evaporator affect the cooling capacity. However, when the temperature of the cold storage is the same as the temperature in the refrigerated container, and the "cold air channel" is used for loading, the container can be pre-cooled.

(4) Pre-inspection test (PTI): Each refrigerated container shall undergo a comprehensive inspection of the box and refrigeration system before delivery to ensure that the refrigerated container is clean, free from damage, and the refrigeration system is in the best condition. The cold box that has passed the inspection shall be affixed with an inspection label.

(5) Preparations before packing: According to different perishable goods, the following items should be confirmed: optimal temperature setting; fresh air exchange rate setting; relative humidity setting; total transportation time; cargo volume; packaging materials used And packaging size; required documents and documents, etc.

(6) Before packing and during loading, pay attention to: the set temperature should be correct; the set fresh air volume should be correct; the set relative humidity should be correct; the refrigeration system should stop working when packing; inside the box The stowed goods should be below the red loading line and not exceed the vertical surface of the T-slot; the stowed goods in the box should be firm and stable; the total weight of the stowed goods in the box should not exceed the maximum allowable load of the cold box; refrigeration The total weight of the container after loading (including the weight of ancillary equipment) during transportation should not exceed the weight limit of any passing country.

(7) Out of refrigeration time: Short-distance transportation or refrigeration system failure may occur in the transfer between various transportation methods, causing refrigeration to stop. It is permissible to stop the refrigeration state for a short time for frozen and refrigerated preservation goods. It is acceptable for many products to stop refrigerating for a few hours, but not all goods. For any refrigerated goods, it is not allowed to stop refrigeration for a long time. For special cargo and temperature-sensitive cargo, the refrigeration system should be kept in continuous operation to avoid any temperature fluctuations that may cause the quality of the cargo to drop.
